Secada Garroden

Secada Garroden

The St. Kitts and Nevis Handball Association mourns the tragic and untimely death of it’s captain.

The sad and unexpected passing of it’s 19 year old
Star Handball player has brought a dark cloud over the executive, management and players of the sport locally. Secada was a young man that was full of life and exhibited the potential to excel in all areas of the sport. In October of 2016 our national U-20 team participated in the IHF emerging nations of the Americas championship for the first time ever. With limited resources and practice time Secada led the team to convincing victories over Trinidad and Tobago, Barbados and Dominica All countries who have been involved in the sport before St. Kitts and Nevis.

Secada Garroden Receiving Handball Certificates: (1). Handball Coaching (2). Beach Handball Coaching. (3). Referees and Delegates.

Secada was the driving force behind the male team but led his teammates as the biggest cheerleading group whenever the females were playing. His passion for growth was evident when earlier this year he signed up for and successfully completed the following:
(1). Handball Coaching course
(2). Beach Handball Coaching Course.
(3). Referees and Delegates Course.

At this tender age Secada was nominated to attend a development course in Hungary as the management team saw it fit to advance his development. His smile, his drive, his passion will be sadly missed. May his soul rest in eternal peace.
